We are just off the coast of Sarasota, on the central west coast, just south of the Tampa Bay area. If you're driving, Sarasota is easily reached from either 1-75 or US 41. If you're flying, The Colony is just 9 miles from the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport, 72 miles from Tampa International Airport. The Colony offers a wide variety of services and amenities for the ultimate enjoyment of our white sand beach. You will find complimentary chaise lounges and thatched shade huts on the beach. Complimentary beach towels are available at the pool desk. A beach volleyball net is located on the north beach and the volleyball may be signed out for use by visiting the pool desk. Our tetherball and children's playground are located just south of the swimming pool. Our heated freshwater pool is located beachside, complete with complimentary towels. We offer adult swim time from 8 am - 9 am each morning. Hours: 8 am - Sunset. The Colony's watersports center has a variety of fun water toys including hobie cats, windsurfers, kayaks, aqua cycles, boogie boards, rafts and snorkel sets all available for rent.
